We are a nationally recognised provider of Vehicle Roadside Assistance and Recovery.
Our customers include the Public Service Sector, The majority of car and commercial vehicle national breakdown Assistance providers, Main Dealers, Local hauliers, and general retail customers.
Due to a steadily increasing workload and expanding coverage areas, We are currently looking to recruit an additional 7.5t day driver to join our team.
The vacancy is based on a permanent 4 days on, 4 days off rolling pattern on 7am - 5pm shifts. The shifts will include weekends and Bank Holidays.
There is also plenty of overtime available if you would like.
All successful applicants MUST possess the correct licence for the role, have a valid tacho card & CPC.
Whilst recovery experience is preferred, full training will be provided to applicants who meet our base requirements. Uniform will also be provided.
Applicants who do not currently possess specific vehicle recovery experience would also be considered if they hold the correct base requirements along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn a new skillset.
All applicants must have the ability to deal professionally, calmly and courteously with a wide range of customers at all times.
As a Recovery Driver, you will spend lots of time working in various environments, at customers premises, homes and on site but also working at the roadside in all weathers.
Within your role of Recovery Driver, you will be attending stricken vehicles in a number of scenario's. You will be expected to safely prepare and load vehicles onto your recovery truck to simply move them from one site to another, but you will also find other scenarios on a daily basis, basic assistance with providing a wheel change, a jump start or occasionally re-positioning the casualty onto hardstanding.
These situations are sometimes considered to be high-pressure environments. You must always be aware of your safety and of those around you, however, despite this, our Recovery Drivers regularly comment that they achieve an exceptional feeling of satisfaction from assisting people in difficult times. The job is never the same two days running and you will get to meet a wide range of variety throughout your shifts
Whilst the role is not for the feint hearted it is hugely rewarding if you are of the correct mindset and aptitude.
If you have the correct licence and a positive attitude but don't currently have any recovery experience you could still become a highly valuable member of our team. Our own experience has taught us that sometimes the best Recovery operatives are the ones who start with no prior experience!
