We are seeking an experienced practitioner who is skilled in offering targeted support to survivors of Domestic Abuse. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, able to use screening tools to understand the current levels of need and risk, whilst possessing appropriate knowledgeable about governmental guidance and theory in relation to abuse and revictimization.

You will be able to utilise local services to lessen the adverse impact of domestic abuse on survivors and their children, able to work collaboratively with key agencies in order to provide advocacy and support to the client group, will be self-motivated and able to lead on all issues in relation to domestic violence within the service.

You will be based within the Specialist Parenting Assessment Team which sits within the Multi-Disciplinary Service which also comprises of the Family Group Conferencing Team, Family Partnership and Adolescent Multi-Disciplinary Team who work collaboratively to offer tailored support to the family during the assessment period.

The Specialist Parenting Assessment Team’s remit is to undertake robust specialist parenting assessments with parents who have additional needs using specialist assessment programmes such as PAMS and CUBAS, and the team are able to offer specialised interventions and teaching to parents with the support of the Family Support Workers within the team. Your role will centre on supporting parents where domestic abuse has been identified as a concern and will be supported by the team to address this during the assessment period.

You will have the following qualifications or a willingness to work towards:

• NVQ4 in Working with families with multiple and complex needs
• Child Protection Level 2
• IDVA or relevant qualification

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
