Target Healthcare (Wholesale) Limited supply generic and branded medicines to pharmacies, doctors, and buying groups throughout the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to join our team in East Kilbride
The Role
The Driver is responsible for ensuring that goods are transported and delivered to customers accurately and on time. They act a brand ambassador and give excellent customer service when delivering items.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain your training record and ensure training for your job role is completed as identified on the Training Matrix.
- Ensure any proposed changes to GDP systems have been approved via the Change Control procedure before any changes are made.
- Identify any deviations from approved procedures and inform management.
- Completing and correcting GDP documents as per procedure to maintain data integrity.
- Work in accordance with GDP standards.
- Delivering customer orders and collecting stock from suppliers whilst ensuring that products are handled and stored according to GDP during transport.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, by hand or using a forklift truck.
- Ensure compliance with the Falsified Medicines Directive by reporting any falsified medicines.
- Follow the company’s health and hygiene procedure and report any reportable illness to the warehouse manager.
- Supporting the returns process.
- Have an awareness of the responsibilities and duties of the Responsible Person in relation to your job role.
- Record any Customer Complaints received and forward the information to the Warehouse for investigation.
- Inform the Responsible Person of any reports of adverse drug reactions.
- Immediately report any onboard temperature excursions outside of the set parameters to the Responsible Person or the Group Transport Manager.
- Immediately report any theft or attempted theft from your vehicle.
Skills and Attributes Required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Full driving licence (required).
- Secondary school education in Maths and English.
- Experience in working in a regulated environment.
Hours of work for this role are Monday - Friday, 0800 - 1700
