Job description
South West Removals are an award winning home removals company based in Axminster.
We have established an outstanding reputation for delivering a range of professional and reliable services across Somerset, Dorset and Devon. These include; a Part and Full Packing Service, Storage for our customers and Home Removals. We also manage moves from these three Counties to other parts of the U.K. The ideal candidate will live locally, within a 10/15 mile radius of Chard, Crewkerne or Axminster.
Due to growth we are looking for a Removals Porter/Driver to join the business.
Duties include:
- Providing a packing service for customers (guidance/training provided)
- Loading vehicles.
- Driving.
- Unloading vehicles.
- Carefully dismantling and reassembling items - beds/wardrobes etc.
Essential requirements:
- The ability to drive a 3.5 ton Luton.
- Commitment and reliability.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail, with a commitment to moving items with care.
- The ability to work as an effective member of the team.
Moving a variety of properties (bungalows, houses, flats etc.) a level of fitness is naturally required.

We have some team members who prefer to remain self-employed, whilst others are paid via payroll - so we are flexible.
The role offers a competitive/negotiable hourly rate, competitive day rates for longer distance removals (including food and accommodation), tips, branded clothing, staff events etc.

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
