Ontrak Recruitment & Training are currently seeking committed and outgoing applicants to join our valued and long-standing clients on the Railways to support with the sanitation and hygiene in the train stations. Locations: Beckenham Hill Station (SE6 3RE)
Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour
Hours: Weekday and Weekend work (Hours will vary between 0500 and 0200, shifts are generally between 8 and 12 hours. You MUST be fully flexible between these hours)

What does a Roving Driver do?
- Maintain the company vehicle to a meticulous standard
- To liaise with your hub station as well as other area stations and the ROC/Control
- Driving between stations to meet passengers requiring assistance on/off trains working to a strict time scale
- Ensuring the mobile phone is always fully charged and securely stored when not in use
- Completing weekly assistance reports
- Being vigilant and visible to all customers and other members of staff
- Ensuring up to date record keeping including logbooks, security checks, incident forms and completing BTP reports
- Luggage assistance
- Assisting customers with the usage of lifts
- Communicate effectively with other staff and passengers in the interests of safety and customer service using information systems as supplied
- Report irregularities, equipment failures or any incident affecting, or which may affect, the safety of the line or service to the customer
- Provide outstanding customer: travel information passenger assistance for purchasing tickets and updating information as and when required
- Making announcements on the handheld radio
- Carry out emergency procedures as locally specified on your induction
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, rules and regulations set out by the TOC (Train Operating Company)
- Station cleaning duties such as emptying the bins, litter picking, maintaining rest room facilities and changing display boards. You may also be required to carry out winter precautions (such as shovelling and laying out grit)
- Providing ramp assistance
- Dealing with assisted travel
Essential Requirements:
While on shift you will be required to travel to local stations to assist passengers
- Hold a clean Full (Manual) UK Driving License.
- You will need to pass a Drugs and Alcohol Medical.
- You will need to provide valid Identification, work permit (if applicable) and proof of National Insurance.
- Must be flexible to work shifts times, such as earlies, lates, weekends and night shifts. You will be on a rota basis which runs from Saturdays to Sundays.
