LGV Driver / Operator – Waste Collection
We have an opportunity for an LGV Driver / Operator to drive and operate vehicles and plant efficiently and in accordance our legislative requirements.
Based at our Bude depot, we are looking for a driver who holds a Category C licence and has experience of operating LGV vehicles in a commercial environment.
This role would suit a self-motivated and positive individual who enjoys working as part of a customer focused team.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Collecting skips and Scrap Metals
- Use the correct equipment for the job and see that it is maintained correctly.
- Ensure the legal requirements are complied with by following the work instructions provided and EMS procedures as indicated by line management.
- Prepare Tachograph Disc as required by law and ensure that hours and working arrangements are within legal limits.
- Take all necessary precautions for the safety of people, vehicles and plant as per Health and Safety legislation.
- Carry out Driver’s maintenance correctly, at the correct intervals, and report all vehicle equipment/container faults immediately by the approved system.
Skills / Experience:
- Full Driving Licence
- Hold a full valid Class C licence.
- To hold a Driver CPC
- Experience of Road Transport Operations
