Job description
LGV Driver roles available working AM shifts, for a Local Authority Waste Service just outside Cambridge. The depot has good transport links, free parking onsite, ongoing work available with set shifts!!
Hours & Shifts :
Monday – Thursday 6am-2pm (0600-1400)
Friday – 6am-1.30pm (0600-1330)
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour
As LGV Driver you will be undertaking any of the following duties:
To drive a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) competently, and operate machinery and bin lifts safely.
Ensure you use the most efficient, safe and effective route and collection locations for loader to collect refused or road sweeping to take place.
Act as a Crew Leader while out on refuse collections, ensuring all collections are completed within specified timescales and to a high service standard.
Check and report maintenance issues and cleanliness of the vehicle and complete the legal daily vehicle check and reporting any defects to management.
Ensure health and safety compliant PPE is used at all times by the crew
Ensure the unloading of the vehicle at the designated disposal point, reaining weighbridge ticket for office staff at the Depot
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following:
An In Date LGV licence, with experience preferably in Waste Collection
Experience of working to targets
