Taxi Driver
A Babergh District Council Taxi Licence would be required (which includes an Online Safeguarding course and an introduction to Taxi driving course (costs apply), these are only applicable if you are new to having a Babergh taxi licence). A good knowledge of the local area is an advantage. The driver would be required to use taxi ranks in between booked work that is given out from our office based in Long Melford. The work is mainly Monday to Friday daytime hours, (there may be the possibility of some extra hours occasionally at the weekends). We provide a friendly reliable service which may include helping customers to and from the car with their shopping/luggage etc. We carry out many local journeys in and around Sudbury and Long Melford but also regularly traveling to towns such as Bury St Edmunds, Colchester & Ipswich. We can look at this being an employed or self-employed position.
