Company

Emanuel Whittaker Limited has been operating since 1837. We provide construction, regeneration and refurbishment projects to a variety of local authorities and social landlords across the North West.

Responsibilities

• To undertake labouring and driving duties with a limited amount of supervision and to a high standard on predominantly refurbishment projects

Works may consist of, but not limited to

• Loading and unloading materials
• Transporting and collecting materials and waste
• Driving a company hired or owned vehicle to transport people, plant or materials
• Safely using lifting equipment and hoists
• Arranging storage areas including lifting and stacking materials
• Undertaking minor demolition operations
• Removal of kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings, wall tiles, wall, floor and ceiling finishes
• Using breakers to enable level access shower installation
• Taking receipt of materials and checking/signing proof of delivery
• Clearing waste and filling skips
• Checking and signing skip delivery/removal notes
• Maintaining site cleanliness
• Maintaining a safe working area, incl. erecting fencing, barriers & safety signage
• Dismantling used window frames and segregating waste materials
• Maintaining and cleaning vehicle and completing a weekly log sheet

Additional Duties

• The labourer/Driver must undertake other reasonably requested duties by request
• The labourer/Driver may be required to erect, utilise and dismantle proprietary access platforms

Additional Responsibilities

• The safety and wellbeing of apprentices and new to industry employees
• Emanuel Whittaker Plant, Tools and Equipment
• Minimising waste
