We are recruiting 2 part time drivers to join our team at Clementina Day Centre.
Job Description
To transport Passengers safely from their home to the day centre
Able to supervise the loading and unloading of wheelchair users and elderly people with Dementia and other ailments.
Able to supervise the passenger whilst inside the vehicle
Be able to communicate effectively with people with dementia and their carers. To be able to speak in a clear voice so that passengers regardless of their disability can hear and understand your instructions.
Ability to operate the vehicle and tail lift that need to be lowered. To ensure the safety of the passengers by reminding them to use the hand rail whilst on the tail lift.
Ensure that all passengers seatbelts are properly secured.
Ensuring that passengers are collected from home and arrive at the day centre on time.
Follow the route designed by the manager and ensure that legal speed limits are adhered to
Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the day centre, day centre members and their families.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 9.30am, 2.15pm to 4.15pm
Salary: £12.00 per hour
DBS required
MIDAS training available
Driving Licence with D1 or PCV required
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greenford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
