CW Fletcher & Sons Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our multi-skilled workforce.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Following instructions from the Logistics Team Leader on daily deliveries and collections
• Keeping vehicles clean and tidy by carrying out daily checks, including filling out the necessary paperwork.
• Ensuring the reporting of any issues of vehicles is reported in a timely manner to the Logistics Team Leader.
• Ensuring vehicles are efficiently loaded.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is submitted to the correct departments.
• Driving safely and following the Highway Code of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Maintaining communication with the relevant departments to inform them of any change of delivery, route or schedule.
• Carrying out additional tasks under the guidance and direction of the Logistics Team Leader, where required.

Skills & Experience:

• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Experience of driving a range of vehicles in a work place environment.
• Previous experience of delivering goods.
• Ability to work well as an individual and in a team environment
• Have strong customer service skills.
• Have good communication skills.
• Ability to handle fragile packages and parcels with care.
• Be able to meet our timescales on deliveries and collections whilst ensuring driving in a safe manner
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Highway Code.
• Ability to follow instructions
• Confident and calm under pressure
• Flexible, co-operative and enthusiastic attitude to work.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Be conscientious and reliable

Preferable Skills & Experience

• Hold a Fork Lift Truck Licence (Counterbalance & Reach)
• Efficient IT Skills, including Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42 per hour
