Blue Arrow are recruiting Class2 Drivers for our contract based in London Forest gate. We have immediate starts for this contract, job details as below:
The role includes:
JOB PURPOSE
To manoeuvre trailers using a shunter unit to different parts of yard, picking up and setting down laden and un-laden vehicles on and off-loading bays as directed by the Despatch FLM. To ensure all daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and associated paperwork completed. To undertake general warehouse duties including basket unloading. To act as the site banksman directing vehicles on the site premises.

- Night from 18:00pm to 06:00am
- Day shift from 06:00am to 18:00Pm

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for movement of vehicles in the yard
- Pick up and set down of laden and un-laden trailers on and off-loading bays
- Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and site requirements.
- Ensure that consideration is given to other drivers, colleagues and pedestrians in the work area.
- Ensure all daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and associated paperwork completed.
- Unloading of basket deliveries and re arrange them in the basket wash area.
- Liaise with Despatch to ensure smooth and efficient loading/unloading of trailers.
- General warehouse duties
You must have:
- HGV1 license,
- Digital Tachograph Card,
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- The ability to complete paperwork in an orderly fashion.
- Held your licence for 1 year.
