Job description
Blue Arrow Bristol are looking for a Class 2 / HGV 2 Driver to work on a 12 weeks temp to perm basis for our client based in Avonmouth, Bristol (BS11). The client can accept newly qualified Class 2 drivers so it's a great opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience. You will need to have previous experience driving vans or 7.5T vehicles.
The role is working Monday to Friday and your contracted hours will be 06:00-16:00.
You will be delivering building supplies to businesses and complete between 5-10 deliveries daily. You will be covering areas such as Bristol, Yeovil, Cheltenham and Swindon.
There will be minimal to none handballing and manual handling involved - all the deliveries will be loaded and tipped for you by forklift drivers.
Your pay rate whilst you are employed by Blue Arrow will be £13.50 per hour, once you go permanent your salary will be £31,000 per annum + bonuses annual pay rises.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least a few months experience in a van or 7.5T driving role is necessary
- Cat C driving licence, valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards
- No more than 3 points on the driving licence for minor offences
- Own transport or ability to get to Avonmouth for 6am starts
- Residency and proof of right to work in the UK - please do not apply if you live outside of the UK
