Job description
Driver responsibilities include safely planning and performing daily pick up/drop offs for CTS Delegates. The role is key to ensure customers (delegates) who have pre-arranged transportation arrive at CTS locations (within Glasgow) prior to the commencement of the training day. This will also include drop offs at the end of each training day. Additional driving responsibilities will include pick up/drop offs to intercompany locations, local stores (facility needs) and Glasgow Airport / Train Stations. Maintenance responsibilities will include regular cleaning of all CTS vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, taxed, and fit for safe use on public roads. It would be expected that support to the daily routines of the Maintenance Department is given during periods of the day when no driving is required.
Key Responsibilities
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most efficient and logical trip
Drive a mixture of vehicles including cars, vans, and minibuses.
Follow traffic laws at all times, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
Pick up / Drop off at the times required. This will be pre-arranged and scheduled by Operations.
Ensure CTS vehicles are safe to drive, sufficiently fuelled, and are within service and tax dates.
Ensure all CTS vehicles are always clean and professional looking, both internally and externally.
Perform ad-hoc pick ups and drop offs at the needs of Operations and Maintenance Departments.
Record and log all required mileage/check sheets, as required by the company.
Support the daily needs of the Maintenance Department during quite periods of the working day. This will include lifejacket re-packing, immersion suit repairs, pool chemical checks & backwashing, site upkeep including housekeeping activities, and other similar task associated with the daily running of the facilities.
Lift and handle luggage and/or equipment, in line with applicable risk assessments.
Any other reasonable duties as directed by Management.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- GCSE’S/Standard Grades or Equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence appropriate to drive a minibus for up to 16 persons. In accordance with the UK Government, this is currently a Category D1 Licence.
