As a Draughtsperson / CAD Technician, you will be responsible for:
Using drafting tools and platforms (i.e AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar software and computer programs) for early phase product development- Working and communicating efficiently between project and engineering divisions, liaising with Structural, Engineering and Technology departments to collect relevant technical information
- Interpreting client requirements and developing in line with project and engineering teams for solutions and recommending ideas
- Producing technical drawings sing 2D and 3D software
- Creating and maintaining all technical engineering drawings relating to the manufacture of flexible pipe and ancillary components
- Maintaining CAD templates and standard 2D and 3D modelling libraries
- Producing illustrative material for Engineering, Commercial and Marketing purposes
- Checking, reviewing and approval of Engineering drawings
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a BTEC Level 3 (ONC) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent as a minimum- Be proficient in the use of both AutoCAD and an associated 3D modelling software (i.e. Solidworks)
- Have good experience in engineering and draughting with the ability to read engineering drawings, product specifications, including codes and ISO regulations
- Have demonstrated experience in product engineering from early stage product design
- Have knowledge in manufacturing or engineering fields (or Machining or Fabrication)
- Have experience in a similar capacity as support to project or engineering design teams
