Overview: We are looking for a talented and creative Drama School Administrator & Social Media Assistant to join our team on a freelance basis. As an administrator you will manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to the school. In addition, you will use social media to promote our drama school and engage with our community.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks of the drama school, including but not limited to scheduling classes, coordinating with instructors, handling student inquiries and enrolment, and maintaining student and staff records.
- Assist with event planning and execution, including performances, showcases and staff training days.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrolment, attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
- Coordinate class schedules and workshops, ensuring that all classes are properly staffed and that students are informed of any schedule changes or cancellations.
- Manage the school's communication channels, including email, phone, and social media, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries from staff, students, and parents.
- Develop and create engaging social media content across all platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and any other relevant channels, with a focus on increasing engagement and driving enrolments.
- Create and curate engaging content, including text, images, and videos, for all social media platforms.
- Monitor social media accounts, respond to inquiries and comments, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Reporting social media metrics
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and social media best practices, and recommend new strategies and tactics to improve performance.
Essential:
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common office software.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the drama and performing arts industry is a plus.
This is a freelance position that will evolve with the person we hire. Initially, the role is estimated to require 1-2 hours per day, but as our drama school grows, so will this position (and renumeration accordingly). Flexibility of working hours between 9am – 6pm.
