Door Person – The Trafalgar St. James
£11.05 per hour + tips
Part of Crimson Hotels, The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 5 Star hotel with 131 bedrooms including 3 signature suites and a number of venues including our unique Rooftop bar, lauded as one of the best in the city and Rockwell.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an exceptional individual, who takes pride in representing the hotel whilst being the first point of contact. At The Trafalgar St. James, the Door Person creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to the Hotel and provide an efficient and friendly assistance with luggage, taxis and more.
You will also - but not be limited to:
- Deal with all enquiries/queries regarding the Hotel and surrounding area in a courteous and helpful manner
- Assist with the delivery and collection of luggage ensuring its accurate and speedy delivery to and from guest rooms.
- Be proactive and aware of travel issues or local events which may impact guests.
- Ensure the Hotel entrance, luggage room and lobby areas are tidy, clean and well maintained at all times, reporting any hazard/maintenance issues
- Being vigilant and report any security issues to Head Concierge or Concierge on shift
- Listen and notice all guest feedback and deal without delay
- Respond promptly to all requests
This role will require strong communication, alongside organisation and determination skills.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be a whiz at multitasking, whilst being an organised, competent and resourceful charming individual with a passion for our hotel guests, alongside a great knowledge of London. The Door Person will consistently be immaculately groomed and well-presented, ensuring alongside the Front Office team that the guests' check-ins and check-outs run smoothly; effectively delivering unforgettable experiences.
A team player is a necessity when joining this small but very busy team. The team is hardworking and has the drive and determination to ensure consistency to successfully obtain the best results that will reflect in the service provided to the guests visiting the Hotel.
Flexibility is required as shifts might vary as per business requirements.
