Job description
Working as a Healthcare Assistant will give you the opportunity to be part of a team that plays a vital role in helping people live longer, healthier lives. As well as providing support to patients and their families, your duties will include caring for them by responding to emergency calls, helping with routine tasks and checking their vital signs.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
- Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
- Helping tidy the patient’s home or room
- Taking the patient’s vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
- Talking to patients and reassuring them
- Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals
- Assisting nurses and other staff when needed
- Adhering to professional standards
- Delivering reports to Case Managers and reviewing any important changes in the patient’s condition
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
