Job description
- Providing care and emotional support for individuals and their families. Supporting and helping with care needs, including personal care,routine checks or administering medication. working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards. Gps escort, shopping, meal preparations and light house duties.
- Assisting with bathing including essential aspects of personal care
- Assistance with getting uo and going to bed
- Care of skin and hair, including assistance with shaving
- Mouthcare including dentures
- Assisting with dressing and undressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using correct specialised equipment
- Provide emotional support to the family as part of caring team
- Assist with Doctors appointments and shopping
- Making and changing the bed of the person with care needs
Experience and Skills
Willingness to undertake any traing deemed necessary and relevant to the post
Previous experience in Home care or simillar role
Experience undertaking a general role in caring(paid or unpaid)
Knowledge of Home Care Services
Ability to communicate information in a clear logical manner
Ability to work on own intiative, with a common sense attitude, dealing with situations from basic to complex
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet set deadlines
An understanding of commitment to equal opportunities issues both within the workplace and community in general

Salary: £11.00-£15.00 per hour

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
