To ensure that the National Standards for Cleanliness are reached and maintained within the Trust and to support the delivery of the patient meal experience. Hotel Services is a diverse and interesting department responsible for our in-house soft Facilities Management Services. We also directly manage Switchboard and Hospital rental accommodation. You will become a key member of the Hotel Services team who are responsible for the monitoring of the Soft Services including cleaning, catering and ward host functions within the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. Services are provided include: Cleaning Catering – patient, retail and vending. To ensure they are compliant to the agreed specifications and key performance indicators by using proven auditing methods and to carry out all associated administrative tasks with this process, which will entail being responsible for a small work stream. Maintain staff rotas, making temporary adjustments to provide an efficient service Process all annual leave requests ensuring minimum staffing levels are maintained Monitor catering and cleaning standards, ensuring remedial action is implemented as required Ensure that Hotel Services Manager and ward Managers are kept up to date with issues which may affect staff welfare or service levels Provide emergency cover in the absence of Hotel Services staff Liaise with users of the services regarding quality issues Assist with recruitment and selection of staff
