Pay Rate: £9.50 per hour
Shifts available: 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri)
No experience required as specialist training will be provided!
Penmakers Court, located in Smethwick are recruiting for a Domestic Help to join our dedicated team of Care Assistance. The Domestic Help is a key role within our community, and as a Domestic Help you will put the residents care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. As a Domestic Help you will play a crucial role in ensuring visitors, residents and families all receive a positive impression of our homes by keeping residents' rooms and common areas spotless and carrying out other general tasks within the home cheerfully, caring and compassionate, you'll be capable of making responsible decisions and acting in residents' best interests.
The key responsibilities of our Domestic help will include:
- Carrying out all cleaning duties.
- Vacuuming, carpet shampooing and washing floor areas stairs and lifts.
- Cleaning toilets, baths and washbasins.
- Polishing and dusting all furniture and fittings.
- Washing, drying and putting away laundry
- Cleaning windows, paintwork and walls.
- Removal of rubbish and clinical waste to storage area ready for collection by the appropriate agencies.
- Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues.
