Due to a change in circumstances an opportunity has arisen in the Business Development Department.
We envisage that the successful applicant will already be an experienced Bid Writer working in a main contracting background, ideally in social housing in the North West, with numerous successful bids under their belt.
We envisage that over time the role will evolve, and this person will become the Business Development Manager, taking responsibility for all aspects of Customer Relationship Management as well as winning work.
You will be supported by an existing coordinator who will assist you in delivering the objectives of this role and you will report directly to the Board.

Winning Work
*Tracking and securing future opportunities
* Managing the bidding process
* Identifying the winning theme
* Producing high ranking quality submissions
Bid Management
* Maintain the Bid Calendar
* Manage all company Tender communication portals
* Maintain case studies and a library of bid support data
* Manage Bid Questionnaires from inception through to submission
* Take responsibility for all bid literature
* Monitor bid performance and identify areas of improvement
Accreditations
* Ensure all company accreditations are kept up to date and relevant
And in the future this will lead to:
Customers and relationships
*Developing and maintaining a database of customers
*Maintaining and building relationships with key customers
*Maintaining and strengthening the Whittaker Brand
Reporting
* Produce departmental report, future opportunities and bid performance
* Produce and manage KPIs
Marketing, Communications & Social Value
* Manage and maintain the website and Social Media
* Take charge of award applications
* Produce Press Releases and media enquiries
* Represent the business at corporate events and meetings
* Reporting Social value activities and maintaining a social value dashboard
New Markets
*Assist us to develop our Sustainability and Building Safety offering
Internal
*Manage the activities of an existing business development co-ordinator
*Attend Board Meetings and produce performance reports
