Job description

Bank Domestic Assistant required at Allerton Park Care Centre.

Meets national minimum wage.

MAIN PURPOSE

• Cleaning and general domestic duties in the Home.

REQUIREMENTS

• To demonstrate good communication skills

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Damp dusting and polishing of furniture, lockers, radiators, skirting-boards, ledges, paintwork etc.

• Damp mopping of floor areas and bathrooms, sluice rooms etc.

• Collecting and washing of crockery and cutlery when necessary.

• Vacuum cleaning of floor and wall areas.

• Dust control and sweeping of floor areas.

• Dry dusting of walls including high dusting of blinds and curtains.

• Holding and storage of all linen to include the tidying of Service Users’ clothes in their rooms.

• Cleaning toilets and bathrooms, washbasins etc.

• Cleaning beds and bed area.

• Beverage preparation, serving and assisting the distribution of meals to residents.

• Replenishment of soap, towels, waste bags, toilet paper etc.

• Spot cleaning of internal glass.

• Wiping down glass and tiled surfaces.

• Emptying bins and disposing of waste accordingly.

• Taking down and re-hanging curtains/nets.

• Maintaining floor surfaces with polishing/scrubbing machines.

• Cleaning domestic equipment, machines etc. after use.

• Any other reasonable duties as may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: £10.42 per hour
