Job description

What you’ll be doing

An exciting oppurtunity has arisen within SafeNet for a number of support roles at our male safe accomodation in Pendle and in the wider community . Safenet has had a male safe accomodation and outreach service since July 2022 due to service developments we now have additional roles within our safenet male safe accomodation team.

Using your experience of delivering support or recovery services, you will provide high quality and pro-active front line service to victims of domestic abuse helping to keep them safe. You will be assessing risk, completing safety and support planning, and ensuring the service offer is accessible and inclusive to all.

We are looking for high calibre, passionate, caring individuals who are excellent team players and are committed to providing high quality, trauma informed services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

What you’ll need to be a success

  • A clear understanding of domestic abuse and violence and its impacts
  • A clear understanding of addiction and recovery
  • Experience of key working, creating support plans, delivering support, conducting risk assessments and safety planning in a person-centred and trauma informed approach.
  • Proven experience of providing direct emotional, practical and welfare support to women, men and children.
  • Ability to build effective relationships, liaising with agencies and being an advocate.
  • To have excellent time management and organisational skills working on own initiative and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
