WHAT TO EXPECT
The Motion Domain are responsible for all things concerning the movement of our vehicles – from how they feel to drive to how they feel to be autonomously driven within, delivering Vehicle Dynamics and Off-Road Capability alongside Lateral, Longitudinal and Vertical Control Systems and Software, and Brakes, Suspension, Steering, Axle and Wheel and Tyre Commodities.
In the role of Domain Scrum Master you will enable the Motion Leadership team to efficiently deliver within a Scaled Agile framework, working alongside 20-30 Squad and Group Scrum Masters to ensure that they understand and follow agreed Agile processes, swiftly removing obstacles and distractions that may impede the team from meeting their goals. To do this successfully they will need excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with others across the business, escalating and resolving blockers with urgency and tenacity.
The successful candidate will be an Agile advocate and experienced practitioner. They will have prior experience of working in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Scrum Master experience, including experience of supporting complex product teams.- Support Domain PO with creation and execution of product roadmap.
- Builds key relationships with cross-functional business leaders to coach on Agile methodology,
- Take responsibility for driving impediment resolution across all off cycle squads within the Tech Centre
- Aligns with other JLR Domain Scrum Masters to ensure the JLR Enterprise principles & approach to Agile is maintained.
- Ensure the use of JIRA is consistent across the Domain and integrated into business level Agile systems. Support the Group Scrum Masters within the Domain to establish their JIRA ecosystem
- Coaching the Domain leadership on agile behaviours, ensuring teams are being empowered to be self-organised.
- Create a psychologically safe environment for teams.
- Embrace and lead through ambiguity, ensuring the domain is clear on expectations and value.
- Drive delivery at a domain level, measuring and monitoring team acceleration.
- Co-ordinates interdependencies between domains to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Co-ordinate, attend & participate in all domain level ceremonies, including ABR’s & QBR’s.

Coaches the Domain PO on their responsibilities such as:
- Maintaining a clear product roadmap.
- Clearly cascading information to all Group SMs in the domain.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement as needed to assist the Domain PO.
- Alignment on priorities are understood by all squads in the domain.
