About us
Pawsome Days is a countryside based doggy daycare service set in 2 acres just outside Castle Donington. We have been running since 2018 and still have a lot of original clients with us today. We see our clients and their dogs like family. We have wonderfully loyal clients and It’s our privilege to look after and hang out with their dogs on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone:

- The job can be physically demanding, so a level of fitness is essential
- Someone who is comfortable chatting to clients and building a relationship with them
- Loves dogs of ALL sizes and breeds
- Comfortable working in a large pack enviroment
- You must be able to think on your feet, use your common sense and be able to stay calm
- You must believe in, force free, positive training methods
- You must be comfortable driving the company vans to collect and drop off the dogs
Briefly, the role involves:
Driving the vans, picking up and dropping off dogs from clients homes. Chatting to clients. Looking after the dogs as part of a team. This of course means cuddles and playing with the dogs, running different activities, such as treasure hunts, working on recall, basic training, agility etc as well as taking photos to post of our client only Facebook group.
But it also involves cleaning up after them, washing and drying feet (approx 120 feet a day). As well as keeping the centre clean and tidy. This could be mowing the grass in summer, moving and laying woodchips in the winter to keep the mud at bay. Sweeping, weeding, cleaning and disinfecting the cabins / vans. The role is not just about cuddling dogs.
But for the right person, with the right attitude, it’s a rare, Monday to Friday job, doing what you love. Working with dogs.
Requirements
You must have been driving for at least 5 years (for insurance purposes)
Have a full, clean, drivers licence
Be comfortable driving a manual van
If you have worked with dogs before that's an huge advantage but not essential. All training will be provided. You must be comfortable having a DBS check.
Job details
Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
£10.42 a hour
Nest Pension
20 days holiday, plus bank holidays
There is the potential to bring your dog to work with you, but this is not a guarantee.
