We're hiring!
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is a huge animal lover, canine in particular to join our dog walking team. This will be on a part time, self-employed basis however hours may increase.
You must-
- Have an animal care qualification
- Have a clear DBS available to show
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Have transport suitable for up to four dogs
- Be able to work in all weather's
- Be able to take out your own public liability insurance.
- Confidence handling dogs of all sizes and confidence handling more than one dog at a time
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to function under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate patience
- Have access to smart phone apps as we log all of our walks
- Love dogs
- Good time management
- Have a strong work ethic
- Be kind, in your methods and your persona
Ideal-
- Have experience in the canine world, whether that be kennels, boarding, walking, owned a dog.
- Have taken part in an animal first aid course
- Have studied canine body language
- Have your own crates for transport
- Physically fit with a strong immune system You will be walking 10,000+ steps daily on various terrain!
- Interest in photography / Social media
You will be working within our team as a self-employed dog walker in a part-time role (approximately 10-15 hours a week). These need to be flexible hours to meet customer needs, generally these hours will normally fall between 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional walks sometimes being required at weekends. There is a huge opportunity to increase your hours if you are able to offer more of your time.
Your days may vary from solo walks, group dog walks, to visiting puppies or feeding people's cats. This work will also involve being outdoors in all weathers, when walking the dog(s) under your care. You will be a sole worker after completing training, trust is an absolute must!
The option to pet sit in owners homes may also become available after probation, which will increase your income dramatically.
From time to time the work can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging, so you MUST have resilience. Owners, and myself, must feel completely confident entrusting their beloved pets with you, knowing they will be well cared for.
Salary is price per job starting from £11.60 an hour. This is be discussed with successful candidates. You are self-employed, you are responsible for your own tax, national insurance, transport costs etc. Work is primarily based in Norton Canes, Burntwood and Lichfield.
