While You Were Gone Petsitting Service LLC is looking for a few additional pet lovers to join our small team! We are a small, family owned and well established professional Pet Sitting & Dog Walking business serving the Morristown area. We are currently seeking to fill permanent part-time Dog Walking positions (15 - 30 hrs per week) for Independent Contractors. This is a great way to earn supplemental income ranging from $1000 and up per month. If you truly have a heartfelt love for animals, are mature, extremely reliable, detail-oriented, self motivated, pleasant to work with, committed to excellent customer service and would like to become part of our While You Were Gone team, this may be your dream job! We have a training program to ensure that each person on our team is fully comfortable before being on their own with pets or clients. We ARE NOT a franchise type of pet sitting company that makes our team find their own clients. We maintain a very supportive, honest, friendly and professional work environment. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and are members of Pet Sitters International. WILLINGNESS TO WORK HOLIDAYS & WEEKENDS IS A HUGE PLUS!! JOB REQUIREMENTS: Again, unfortunately there are NO exceptions. Please do not apply unless you meet ALL the following criteria: 1) YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY LOVE PETS! Previous pet care experience is desired but not required. What IS essential is a commitment to the happiness and well being of animals, as well as a basic understanding of how to interact with dogs and cats. Must take this job seriously as animals' lives are on the line.2) Meet all of the scheduling requirements (No exceptions), and maintain schedule flexibility. MUST BE ABLE to work between 10am-4pm on weekdays (At least).3) Have a consistent schedule over a long period of time (students do not usually work out as their schedules change every semester).4) Currently live and plan to remain in the Morristown, NJ area.5) Be physically fit for the job - (i.e. walking dogs for several hours a day in various weather conditions, getting on the floor to play with kitties, bending, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs., etc.)6) At least 21 years old (mature adults are strongly encouraged to apply).7) Willing to commit to the position for at least 1 year.8) Have an extremely reliable automobile and driving record and a valid license.9) Have Internet access, computer and working printer in your home, as well as basic user ability.10) Have or be willing to obtain a cell phone.11) Be able to pass a thorough a detailed background check.12) Understand that initially work may be slow as new team members are oriented and assigned new clients.13) Be familiar with (or willing to learn) local geography.14) Enjoy being outside in all weather (dogs need to be walked even in the rain, snow, sleet, etc.)15) Be mature, professional, and utterly responsible (and fun to work with!)16) Have loads of common sense and integrity.17) Be organized and work well independently as well as with team members.18) Understand and be eager to accommodate clients who expect an exacting level of detail in the care of their cherished pets.19) Have a tidy appearance and habits (leave no trace at client’s homes).20) Have taken the time to review our website to learn more about who we are and what we do.21) As the final stage of the interview process, qualified candidates will be invited to join us on several walks or pet sits in order to better understand the details of the position.
