Zoomies Dog Walking and Cat Sitting is a local premium pet care business based in Chester. We are excited to announce that our services are expanding into the following areas: Flintshire, Ellesmere Port, Wirral and Wrexham. We are on the prowl for talented pet carers to join our growing team in these new areas as well as Chester CH1 and CH4.
This is a part time and flexible position that would suit a pet professional that already has reliable income, such as a dog groomer, dog trainer, dog walker, vet nurse, vet receptionist, pet shop owner and similar. Or perhaps you are an ambitious and talented pet carer wanting to enjoy all the fun and cuddles that comes from caring for other people’s pets without the responsibilities and expenses of running your own business. Dog walking and cat sitting can fit around your current commitments and help boost your income.
We specialise in solo dog walks, which ensure each doggy client receives the best 1:1 care and attention during their 30min walk/visit. Each pooch is catered to as an individual, meaning every visit will be customised to the client’s personal needs. This may mean garden play, extra training management during walks or enjoying a slow sniffy mooch. All walks are on-lead only and walked from their home or transported to a location nearby. As Zoomies provides a niche service of solo walks only, we are sometimes referred clients that aren’t suited to group walks and need that extra care. You must be comfortable working with and managing dogs with reactivity, lead pullers or those battling through their adolescents. To become a Zoomies dog walker you will need positive reinforcement dog training and behaviour skills and knowledge.
Zoomies is a premium pet care service. We pride ourselves on our reliability, trustworthiness, and professionalism. This role is more than just a side hustle. Your skills, qualifications, experience, passion for pets and outstanding customer service are what will secure your place as a Zoomies team member. Only those that are serious about representing the Zoomies brand for the long term and being committed to providing a premium service to the clients in your local area will be considered.
A pet carer should be knowledgeable of animal behaviour and adept at caring for all kinds of pets. Ultimately, an outstanding pet carer should be able to perform animal CPR as well as demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
As a hired contractor of Zoomies Dog Walking & Cat Sitting you will be self-employed and paid for each completed service you have been assigned. To grow the client base in your area, marketing and promoting of Zoomies will be included in your role. This will include, but not limited to the use of social media, leaflet/business card distribution, collaborating with local pet businesses and displaying the Zoomies logo.
For the right candidate Zoomies Dog Walking & Cat Sitting can offer a competitive rate of pay, on-going training and support, opportunity to earn commission, encourage regular time off (to avoid burn out) and be part of a growing network of premium pet care professionals.
