We Love Pets Chorley & Preston
Full Time Preston, North West England, England 11 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

We are looking for professional, caring people to join our multiple award-winning pet care business. Currently we have an opening for a dog walker and are looking for someone animal focused and reliable to help us deliver on our strict customer promise.

All our walkers are comprehensively insured, DBS checked (we’ll help you with this) and pet first aid trained (we’ll train you!) and in case of an emergency you also have access to an emergency vet. It is important to us that our customers feel reassured that their pets are in the best hands and that you find your job as enjoyable as possible!

We will never ask you to pack walk as we don’t believe it is good for the dogs, plus we want you to love your walks and feel able to focus properly on the animals you have.

You will need to be happy being on your feet for 3-4 hours per day, come rain or shine (or wind or hail!) and to be comfortable with managing more than one dog at once. We always try to walk three dogs together for their optimum level of socialisation.

You should have exceptional communication skills and be comfortable connecting with customers and your manager. You may be asked to share photos of what the pets have been up to on your walks!

You will be joining a national family of dedicated animal lovers and professionals with a competitive pay scheme, a strong focus on training, potential opportunity for progression and development and a strong network of team support. All of this on top of as many furry cuddles as you can manage!

What we ask from you is that you are honest and trustworthy, with amazing interaction both with people and animals. We need you to be happy that this is a permanent role as it is important to us that our staff establish trusting relationships with our customers and their pets. We also appreciate flexibility and the willingness to help out if a team member is off sick or an owner has a last-minute request.

Ideally, you would have the capacity to increase your hours as we grow our business (although this is not a requirement or a guarantee!).

So, if you want a career working with animals and have your own vehicle (this is a must as you will be collecting and dropping off the dogs in your care) we would love to hear from you.

Please do not apply should you not have a full UK driving license and access to you own vehicle. This is an essential requirement of the post.
