Dog In Black offers a professional dog walking service and we would like you to join our team! We are looking for a walker that treats our dogs with love, care and respect. The ideal candidate must have previous experience of owning or handling a dog. If you are enthusiastic and have great communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!
The role requires a reliable individual who is able to commit for a minimum of one year. Working 2 days a week between Monday - Friday
You must be an energetic person who is able to work in all weather conditions. You will be expected to organise yourself and follow a given schedule and keep to time. We require our walkers to be responsible individuals, understanding that the role may be challenging at times. Whilst on walks, the safety of all the dogs in our care is their only priority at that time
At Dog In Black we only use positive methods of training. You will obtain a basic understanding of dog behaviour and training skills to aid you throughout your day. On a typical walking session, 1-4 dogs are to be walked together. You may be asked to walk dogs that are aggressive in nature but all precautions will be taken to prevent any issues on these walks.
We only accept walkers that are available 2 days a week, from 9am - 6pm, you will be asked to walk dogs throughout these working hours. We also require a minimum commitment of 6 months. You will be working in the London area, primarily East London.
The role is offered on a self-employed basis. Dog In Black will supply you with the basic skills.
You will be paid £90 per day
Suitable candidates are invited to participate in a few dog walks as part of your training. Upon completion, a service agreement is to be signed. We do require an up to date DBS certificate (criminal records check). The ideal candidate will have a car but this is not mandatory.
