Pawsitive Play Days is one of newcastle‘s leading Pet Care providers with a team of Registered Animal Medicine Advisors, Vet Nurses, Canine & Feline Nutritionists, Dog Trainers, Animal Behaviourists and Specialist Trained Dog Walkers.
The position available is for a ‘Dog Groomer’, any candidates must live within a 15 miles of 16 Benton Road NE7 7DR.
Typically Groomers will arrange appointments directly with clients maintaining their own working pattern, supported by our office team. Our groomers will have access to an automated booking system of which our clients can use to book in services without the need to arrange phone calls, separate work contact details and a behind the scene client manager, allowing for a healthy and consistent work life balance.
We have established a small grooming salon within our existing veterinary nurse clinic, groomers will work closely with our vet nurse, behaviour and walking teams to provide the best care possible for all of our clients.
The terms of this position are open to the individual, currently we are looking at starting small with the plans to expand and assist our groomers with further training and business management to allow them to maximise their confidence and ability.
Groomers are responsible for their own hours with fully flexible working hours.
Starting wage is qualification dependent, any additional training undertaken will increase hourly rate.
Groomers are eligible for our Commission scheme if they are actively bringing in new clients or bringing clients with them when starting the position. Our Commission, Tip & Bonus schemes are uncapped allowing our teams to maximise their income.
Applicants must have experience and recognised qualifications to be considered for this role, all applicants must submit their qualification title ( Reference Numbers if relevant ) to be considered.
A minimum of a recognised & accredited Level 3 Dog Grooming with 2 years professional experience is required.
Applicants must have qualifications provided by or linked to:
. College Level 3 / 4
. Other recognised Dog Grooming certifications accepted on a case by case basis along side professional experience
Applicants must have their own vehicle and a full clean UK driving licence for home visits. Any physical equipment required will be provided upon request.
Grooming is provided in our facility - 16 Benton Road NE7 7DR, continued growth within the company will see grooming expand through Newcastle and Gateshead.
Pay is weekly, employees are responsible for submitting their own schedules.
