Document Controller
Role
PDC) Project Document Controller incorporates coordinating with the different departments/disciplines within a Project organisation and ensuring that project documents and correspondence are kept in the right location and are accessible to all internal services and users.
Main responsibilities:
- Operation of Project EDMS system.
- Following procedures and workflows.
- Performing conformity checks for correctness of documents for number, titles and sign-off.
- Providing Engineering team with Document Control support & troubleshooting.
- Building and notifying transmittals.
- Monitoring processes.
- Liaising with Engineers, Project Management & Clients.
- Reporting – Assisting with status and progress measurement & tracking.
- Covering holiday cover for other Document Controllers Projects.
- Working to tight deadlines.
Typical background and experience required:
- Position suits a Document Controller with strong PMC, FEED and EPC experience.
- Good knowledge and experience within Engineering sector & Document Control environment.
- Ideally educated to degree level with 5 years of experience as a document controller
- Excellent organisational skills and experience with EDMS tools and effective filing.
- Have an understanding of company organisation and flow structure.
