The Children and Young People Service aims to contribute to the well-being of adopted children and young people by increasing their connections, offering opportunities for them to learn new skills, being active, noticing and being reflective and giving support to others.
What you’ll be doing
Working 25 - 30 hours a week you will have an exciting opportunity to support the development, delivery and promotion of the Children and Young People Service across Wales and England by providing administrative support to the Connected Manager in Wales and the Youth Lead for England.
You will
Support Adoption UK in this service area by:
- Applying the various software packages effectively including Eventbrite, Evide, Zoom, Teams, Office 365, Mail chimp to undertake routine administrative tasks for the Youth Services in Wales and England
- Ensuring routine tasks are undertaken on time and efficiently.
- Schedule meetings where necessary and provide admin support to the Connected Manager, the Youth Lead for England and their teams.
- Work closely with the Fundraising and Business Support Officers to ensure that records and electronic files are stored efficiently.
Who you are
Having excellent communication skills, you will,
- Have experience of supporting in an administrative capacity
- Have experience of using a range of Microsoft applications
- Have some experience or knowledge of working with social media
- Be motivated and creative in enabling the efficient running of the service
- Have a confident, professional manner together with an ability to establish good rapport with colleagues and stakeholders of the team at all levels
- Be flexible and adaptable in supporting the Managers and Youth Leads for the successful delivery of the service.
What we offer
With a salary of £22,258 - £25,882 per annum pro rata, you will be working 25 - 30 hours a week, flexibly depending on the needs of the organisation.
This role is home based with occasional visits to the projects in South Wales and Yorkshire.
