About the role
Working within the divisional office and reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager, the main focus of the role will be to provide financial advice and support to academic departments and to play a key role in supporting the full range of the division’s financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting and monitoring; management accounting and reporting; and other high-level financial administration tasks. You will play an active role in the divisional finance team, sharing ideas, thoughts and developments to manage risk and improve efficiency.
About you
You will be part qualified or studying for an accounting qualification with experience working in a large complex accounting environment. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will possess accomplished IT skills, including in-depth knowledge of spreadsheets with the ability to work with complex formulas and pivot tables. Experience of Oracle Financials or a similar financial system is desirable.
You will be based in the MPLS Divisional Office but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
