Job description
Due to an internal promotion and a retirement, we are now looking for two Divisional Directors of Operations to join our senior operational leadership team at UHS. This is a unique opportunity for two experienced senior operational leaders to join our trust and lead a high performing and cohesive divisional team.
We are looking for two Divisional Directors of Operations for:
- Cardiovascular and thoracic, neurosciences, trauma and orthopaedics, radiology and major trauma, responsible for around 2,200 staff and an operating budget of £220 million.
- Women and Newborn, Maternity, Child Health and Clinical Support, responsible for around 2,800 staff and an operating budget of £185 million
In each role you will be responsible for driving operational performance and strategic development of your Division, including the delivery of high-quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and the delivery of financial targets.
As one of four divisional directors of operations within UHS, you will have joint responsibility for driving forward corporate and collaborative programmes of work and service direction, while providing collegiate, compassionate and inspiring leadership.
