Job description

Job Purpose
  • Leadership role covering a designated district
  • To lead motivate and inspire the store teams by developing their store managers
  • To drive sales across the team by commercial and tactical store visits
  • To embed and embrace new technology that continues to make our teams more efficient and customer-facing whilst maintaining control of compliance and standards
  • To be the leader of change across the team
  • To deliver the district KPI’s ensuring all operational budgets are delivered
  • To grow the team through robust succession plans and measured learning and development
  • To continually look for new opportunities by understanding the local area and having professional and effective communication with the trading team
Main duties and responsibilities
  • Maximise sales and profitability in Stores through high morale, commitment and work of Store Management and Colleagues, builds strong relationships with direct reports
  • Maximise Customer loyalty and return visits in Stores through Customer conversion, acknowledgement, awareness and high service standards
  • Ensure store standards are consistently delivered and meets and exceeds its customer’s expectations in respect of quality of the shopping experience and service provided
  • Ensure strong Commercial/Promotional merchandising impact throughout the Store to engage Customers and optimise incremental sales
  • Ensure appropriate information is regularly communicated to the Centre so as to maintain customer expectation and represent customer/store views/feedback.
  • Responsible for appointing Store Management Teams with the support of HR
  • Encourage, motivate and coach Store Management Teams to deliver agreed objectives & KPI’s.
  • Regularly visit stores, completing business reviews and sales driving visits
  • Ensure Stores and Colleagues comply with and operate according to our Company Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Support wider business initiatives by occasionally taking on and or leading Operational Projects in addition to existing responsibilities
  • Responsible for short and long term succession planning within the district
