Job description
Jovani Enterprises has been in business over 20 years. We operate as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company transporting patients from their homes to hospitals, doctor offices, etc.
We are seeking an individual who has past experience dispatching! This person must work with approximately 40 drivers and 35 cars that travel primarily throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Therefore, you must be familiar with the roads, highways, and even medical facilities throughout Long island. Of course, from time to time we may go to Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn or the Bronx.
Our Lead Dispatcher will train you and help you learn everything you need to do each day at work. Our company works exclusively with insurance companies, Medicaid and Medicare who send us trips every day to transport their clientele. We are a ride share company which allows us to transport up to six passengers at a time. We are also are a curb to curb service requiring our passengers to come out to our cars and get in without our driver's assistance.
The successful candidate should also be familiar with the new cell phones and phone apps. We text our drivers every night their start times for the next day every night before leaving the job. This is a full-time position with hours starting at 8a and end around 5pm with a 45-minute lunch break.
This individual must be motivated, focused and a team player. You must be able to think quickly, move trips, and focus on getting our clients to their medical appointments on time! We also are seeking an individual who looks professional, and can speak clearly with our insurance contacts, and medical facility personnel. Spanish as a second language is a plus!
We are located in Farmingdale NY and requires this candidate to work Monday through Friday here in the office and on a Saturday if our other Dispatcher cannot work that weekend. Sundays we are off!
NOTE:
Must have the ability to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years past experience with dispatching.
Must be able to pass drug screening or background check if requested
Must have transportation to get here every day on time
