The Royal Canadian Military Institute (RCMI) is working to create a motivated, high-achieving, and results-oriented team to open our brand new state of the art facility in Spring 2014. Established in 1890, the RCMI is a private members organization renowned for its military library, museum and social programs. With our recent redevelopment we have expanded our hotel suites, dining & conference facilities and have added a fitness centre. Position Summary

The RCMI is looking for an experienced dishwasher who is able to focus on essential tasks in a busy environment while following RCMI standards and working in a timely and efficient manner. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Dishwasher is an enthusiastic team player, consistently offering professional, friendly and proactive service while supporting fellow colleagues.

· Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools

· Help with food preparation as needed

· Empty waste receptacles

· Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

· Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time

· Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by manager

Job Requirements

· 1 year of kitchen experience, private club or hotel experience an asset

· Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 40 lbs

· Must be fluent in English (written & oral)

· Ability to be flexible and accommodating with changing working hours (evenings/weekends/shift work)

· Must be eligible to work in Canada

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift

• Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
