This critical role exists to ensure secure, accurate and timely compliance with lawful requests for assistance and the disclosure of information. This information includes customer data and is therefore a sensitive role which requires the highest standards in respect of accuracy and integrity. Lawful requests can be made by UK Law Enforcement Agencies (ie Police), Courts and other organisations entitled under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and other statutory legislation.

The team provides this service on a 24x7 basis which includes normal office hours along with some out of hours working (on call).
As a Disclosure Advisor, you will be:
  • Ensuring the secure, accurate and timely compliance with lawful requests for the disclosure of information. This involves accessing both business and bespoke systems to extract the relevant data for onward disclosure
  • Building great working relationships with all keys stakeholders, such as specialist teams within UK Police forces and other BT/EE teams;
  • Being part of an on call rotation for urgent out of hours disclosure services, as per obligatory requirements
  • Maintaining meticulous standards, following agreed processes at all times to meet our SLAs, striving for 100% accuracy to avoid error
  • Possible Court attendance on behalf of BT/EE as a witness in relation to disclosures, providing guidance to the Court/jury to understand the information
  • Demonstrating flexibility to ensure disclosure capability is fully operational at all times; being proactive in identifying resource challenges
  • A willingness for development and training across both BT and EE disclosure data; improving knowledge/skills to be able to handle ever changing and ever increasing complexity of mobile voice and data and fixed line/IP services
  • Contributing towards ensuring all processes reviewed and updated, documented and maintained
As a Disclosure Advisor, you will have the following experience/skills:
  • The ability to be calm under pressure and pay attention to detail; be inquisitive to get to the root of an issue
  • Excellent and effective communications skills;
  • Able to develop practical and open relationships across UK police contacts and with other BT/EE teams;
  • The ability to put the customer at the heart of every action taken;
  • Can work under direction as well as independently and has a clear framework of accountability.
  • Ideally, you will also have:
  • Working knowledge of the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, or other statutory legislation.
