Corporate tax manager:
We are a boutique firm of accountants and tax advisers working with international businesses. As part of our team, you will be advising international companies expanding their operations to the UK.
We are seeking an experienced candidate with corporate tax experience and proven team management skills gained within a practice environment. Personal tax and VAT expertise would be an advantage. The role can be full time or part time.
The Role:
You will be managing a small team of professionals delivering tax advisory services to our international clients and supporting the team. You will also be leading project and research work as well as aspects of practice management/leadership. The role is varied with good opportunities to progress.
The ideal candidate will have solid technical knowledge in corporation tax and other taxes. Any knowledge of international aspects of tax or accounting would be a benefit. You should have experience in handling a portfolio of clients be confident with good client facing skills.
The main job responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of client matters
- Managing internal tax departmental procedures and a small team
- Reviewing corporation tax returns and computations and ideally VAT returns as well
- Providing scenario-based tax advice
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of other staff and supporting questions
- Attending client meetings and business development events
- Building working relationships to ensure the clients’ needs are met
- 5+ Years Tax compliance and some management experience in a practice setting
- CTA/ ACA /ACCA/ATT qualified or equivalent accounting or tax qualification
- High level of numerical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of German language is desirable
