This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking for a senior role within the university sector, by joining the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work as the School Director of Practice Education.
The School Director of Practice Education is a vital role that leads and directs learning in practice within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. They are a core member of the School Executive Team, and they work in close partnership with Faculty Director Practice Learning, Head of School, Placements Leads and School staff.
The Role
This post is key in the strategic leadership, development, co-ordination and quality of placement learning opportunities across the school, building strong relationships with our partners researching effective and innovative ways of working. This role is also responsible for managing the compliance and PSRB requirements for the placements.
The Person
A key priority for the successful candidate will be the overseeing of the University review and NMC reapproval for our nursing courses. The role holder will be resilient and solution-focused, and work in collaboration and collegiately with the School Leadership and the School and Faculty community more widely.
You will be educated to higher degree level in a health or social care subject and be a member of a relevant professional body (NMC preferred), with experience and knowledge of academic, professional statutory and regulatory requirements.
