Job description

Our client is an exciting company with a new wellness drinks' brand in the UK. With listings in the grocers and the high street, this well funded business is starting to be a disrupter in the health and wellness drinks category.

Having used an agency to gain these listings, it is now time for the business to recruit a new Sales & Marketing Director to develop the strategy from here. The new Director will be responsible for reviewing the current routes to market and building a strategy around the products to scale the business. As the client is small enough to be agile and innovative with their new product development, part of this person’s role will be to have strategic conversations with potential customers to understand their gaps in the category and feedback to the development function. You’ll also be required to build a team across sales and marketing so the commercial teams fit the business as the brand grows.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for health and wellness and ideally have experience within this category. It would suit an ambitious individual who enjoys working within a ‘disruptive’ brand where strategic and innovative conversations with the grocers are more common than working for the large brands. A hands on approach will be needed to be successful in this role so it will also suit someone who doesn’t require a large infrastructure around them to succeed.

An understanding of the different channels to market within FMCG will be important in this role but more importantly is the hunger and drive to grow something.

The role will primarily be focused on the UK although experience of Europe and the US would be a definite advantage as the business views these regions as the next areas of growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £75,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
