Title and Summary
Director - Risk Management & Transformation
Transfer Solution's (TS) Risk Management team is a newly formed 1st line risk team dealing with both foundational and transformational risk projects. TS consists of our offerings through Send, Cross-Border Services (XBS), Pay by Account (PbA) and Bill Pay and reflects the breadth of our capabilities in capturing New Flows and solutioning for clients’ needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Risk and Transformation in the payments space.

Role:
  • Execute on the risk management framework working in close partnership with principal risk owners. e.g. risk identification, reporting, mitigation, risk heat maps etc.
  • Perform deep dive risk analysis on business areas requiring transformation and/or enhancements. Take a consultative approach to understand and articulate business pain points gathering data from a diverse stakeholder list.
  • Implement and manage processes to mitigate risks alongside conducting cross-functional workshops to embed mitigation plans.
  • Document process, risk and controls mapping for operational business areas (e.g. onboarding, post-transaction monitoring etc).
  • Understanding of internal controls with experience in controls rationalization efforts.
  • Develop and embed risk appetite statements and tolerance limits at the process level.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and an ability to partner with the compliance team to strategize reporting to the leadership.
  • Partner with the legal and regulatory teams to drive approach for addressing legal/regulatory risks associated with digital payment transfers in priority markets.
  • Engage with SME risk teams as and when needed (Operational, Technology, Customer Risk etc.) to deliver on an integrated and holistic risk model.
  • Partner with the 2nd line oversight function and the 3rd line internal audit function to deliver on a central risk framework & maintain three lines of defense effectiveness.
  • Assist with internal/external audits acting as a liaison between the business and the audit team. Help with evidence gathering, walkthroughs and audit remediation efforts.
  • Own governance requirements (e.g. risk committee presentations, risk policies, ToRs etc), ensuring these are updated as needed and embedded appropriately.

About you:
  • Experience in managing complex cross-functional risk projects, with an ability to work independently and knowledge towards payment industry challenges.
  • Strong risk reporting (e.g. dashboards) and data analytics skills.
  • Holistic risk area knowledge (e.g. Technology, Strategic, Financial risks etc).
  • Experience with developing and embedding risk appetite statements (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Knowledge of Compliance, regulatory and Legal requirements.
  • Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and articulate the risk angle to each.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Visio and MS PowerPoint to create process maps.
  • Familiarity with GRC systems e.g. IBM Open Pages, Archer (but not essential).
