About the role:

Samsara recruiting plays a critical role in ensuring the company scales with the right talent at the right time. We are looking for a UK-based recruiting leader to drive our hiring efforts in the EMEA region. This individual will be responsible for continuing to build out and lead a high performing team, with the mission of scaling the region with high bar talent. This person will own the DEI recruiting strategy for the region, at least one cross-functional global program/project annually, and will be responsible for operational improvements and long-term strategic workforce planning initiatives with business leaders.

Specifically, this will include delivering innovative programs for inclusive recruiting, improving our recruiting infrastructure and operations at scale, and making Samsara's brand become even stronger as we continue to grow. We want someone who is strong at systems thinking, expanding our talent brand in EMEA, and knows how to make us more efficient at scale. Hiring is at the core of what will drive Samsara's future success. You will operate as a member of our recruiting leadership team and report to the VP, Recruiting in the USA. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, there will be expectations for in-office meetings throughout the year.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a high-performing recruiting team: Hire, develop, and lead a team of high performing managers, and individual contributors across full-cycle recruiting. Embody our Samsara Leadership principles. Create an outstanding experience for our candidates and hiring managers.
  • Deliver results: You will be accountable for consistently driving successful & tangible outcomes with your team and our cross-functional stakeholders. You'll partner with finance and operations teams to ensure quarterly and annual headcount goals are met through accurate forecasting.
  • Drive diversity initiatives for the company & execute on ambitious hiring goals: Execute on quarterly hiring goals with a focus on acquiring top diverse talent to meet our current and future hiring needs. Help the EMEA business scale at pace across several countries during a phase of hypergrowth.
  • Partner on departmental talent strategy: Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Inspire operational excellence: Manage KPI achievement and tracking for team. Set up new processes that are able to scale within a fast growing business.
  • Be a role model: Bring a strong voice, functional expertise, and a fun personality to the recruiting leadership team.
  • Act as a culture champion: Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for this role:

  • Proven experience of scaling sales (go-to-market) and tech teams within a rapidly growing technology business
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition with experience in private and public companies (ideally during a period of hypergrowth)
  • 3+ years of people management experience; demonstrated ability to coach, empower, and develop talent
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent year of experience in global talent acquisition required.
