What's it all about?
We are looking for an experienced product lead with extensive business and working knowledge of merchant data, local market data, and consumer behaviour to lead efforts to meet the needs of users in the market and increase adoption of our merchant data platform within the Europe region.
What we expect you to do, day to day.
Work with internal and external customers and clients to understand their strategic business requirements and define platform enhancements to serve customer needs, with an emphasis on data quality.
Participate in global prioritization of enhancement work, develop region specific product roadmaps, collaborate with developers and data scientists, and drive the platform strategy and key decisions throughout the product and platform development lifecycle.
Manage multiple product and stakeholder’s needs concurrently, from conception to completion.
Develop and refine a product proposition that resonates with regional data stakeholders.
Define and execute the strategy for development, pilot, go-to-market, and scaling of the product. Act as the central point of contact for strategic coordination among your counterparts in each target region.
Define strategy for leveraging external data to augment internal data to meet the needs of analytical projects and product integrations within the region.
Drive other tasks such as data innovation tasks, ML modelling, data governance, compliance and data quality, analytics tool evaluation, and other cross team functions, on an as-needed basis.
Inspire the highest level of quality, rigor, and thought leadership within EU team, merchant data platform's global team, and stakeholders within the region.
Present ideas, analysis, progress reports, KPIs, and strategy to leadership.
Identify new opportunities for uses of merchant data paired with requirements for improving the data to enable them.
Develop strategies to improve the overall data usage experience for internal and external users.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
- Senior level experience applying solutions to business problems in relevant fields such as the payments industry, business consulting, or other data-driven functions
- Experience in planning and managing data platforms
- Merchant data experience is strongly preferred, analytics experience serving various industries is a plus
- Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
- Working level of SQL skills and familiarity with modern AI techniques to solve complex data problems
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, strong familiarity with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc. and data warehousing such as Hadoop, MS SQL Server
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, etc.
- Strong blend of technical fluency and ability to bring forward cutting edge business insights
- Good business acumen to orient data analysis to business needs of clients
