Salary Range - $140-$160k plus bonus and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop plants budgets and achieve financial and production goals.
- Responsible for manufacturing and logistics related activities for the plant operations including production, planning/scheduling, assembly, and transportation.
- Oversees all resources related to manpower, assets, and capabilities.
- Manage and control the steel supply chain for the group.
- Direct reports include plant Supervisors and other functional Managers.
- Assess plant performance against Operating Plans & Standards and ensure that plant performance meets goals and meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations environment and work with staff members on their growth and development to ensure that employees feel encouraged and motivated to contribute to their full potential.
- Ensure labor cost, equipment efficiency and material are optimized at all plants.
- Champion safety and ensure achievement of the plant’s safety objectives.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement action plans.
- Ensure product quality requirements are achieved.
- Accountable for the justification and cost control of capital expenditures.
- Develop performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identify customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership/management experience. Steel manufacturing and supply chain experience is advantageous.
- Operating performance responsibility for multiple plants.
- Experience developing KPI’s and metrics for manufacturing performance.
- Demonstrated capability of driving continuous improvement.
- BS degree in Business or Engineering. An MBA and/or a Master’s degree would be a plus.
- A proven multi-site manufacturing leader with strong employee engagement.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process improvements, root cause analysis, project costing methods, assembly procedures, bill of material structure, and computer skills.
- Capital investment, P&L and working capital experience.
