Group/Division Summary:
The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) provides chemistry solutions and supports global customers from research and development through to manufacturing.
Position Summary:
A dynamic opportunity that is responsible for driving and leading the operations of the Loughborough, UK, site. Impactful by ensuring production in support of business unit goals, as well as the strategic and annual operating plans. You will take the Loughborough operations to the next level by delivering on growth expectations and through expanding capabilities; establishing systems and efficient methods for producing high-quality products; and meeting current fulfillment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership to all functions of the site. Establish goals and priorities consistent with business objectives and customer expectations.
Accountable for ensuring Safety and Compliance at this highly regulated, COMAH site
Ensure the operational financial performance is in line with the business objectives, proactively addressing improvements.
Develop and mentor an impactful team with capabilities to drive ownership and accountability, while breaking down barriers that impede success!
Drive continuous higher levels of process improvement, customer satisfaction, profitable growth, and transformation at the site.
Role model a site culture aligned with Thermo Fisher’s 4i Values, and be a strong change advocate able to move individuals and groups through change successfully.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent working experience).
Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing operations.
Strong track record of driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
Senior Operations leadership experience in a complex, and matrixed manufacturing environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
