And today we're looking for a Technology Operations Director who shares these values. Does this sound like you?

The Technology Operations Director is a key role within the Technology and Innovation division which is responsible for leading on telco best practices and aligning existing teams to the vision set out. They will support growth and implement systems capability and processes. The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that our systems and networks support Hyperoptic' s vision of a 5* customer experience.

The role holder will ensure that we stay focused on initiatives that allow us to get to our North Star, teaming up with the right people so that the job can get done in the most effective and efficient way. The main objective will be to build a team responsible for delivering state-of-the-art technology operations across Network and IT.

What will you be doing?

  • Ownership and governance for the operational support of the company's service offerings, underpinning service delivery quality
  • Defining the IT & network operations strategy and owning the operational performance of the network and IT platforms, in line with Hyperoptic's business plan
  • Accountable for the relationship with any key third-party suppliers delivering to the SMC team.
  • Delivering continuous improvement to technology operations through effective process management, system automation and data capture and analysis
  • Building, coaching, and mentoring the technology operations leadership team in UK and Serbia
  • Ensuring the impact, resource demand and expected output of Hyperoptic projects is understood for the technology operations team, particularly the implementation of new products and services that the company is planning to launch
  • Defining the future resource strategy for ongoing technology operations
  • Ownership of the technology business continuity plan including risk mitigation and running of material simulations
  • Market awareness - To participate or lead RFPs, be aware of the current IT and network operations landscape including solution providers and integration partners

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience of managing technology operations in telco companies ideally ISPs
  • Extensive knowledge of service management solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of OSS and BSS technology stack
  • Has a good knowledge of the AltNet's architecture
  • Understands how to translate and input operational requirements into the enterprise architecture evolution
  • Demonstrate TMF and eTOM awareness and value in aligning to operations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how data should drive process and systems improvements particularly in customer care
  • Experienced in building and developing effective teams
  • Energetic, logical and an eye for detail
  • Ability to easily handle pressure from business stakeholders
