We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Director to join our business. The primary purpose of the role will be to take full operational, commercial, and budgetary responsibility for the management of a customer portfolio within Manufacturing Logistics on the JLR account and working closely with the customer stakeholders and Senior Management to manage the customer relationship and enable the contract to deliver on their expectations and maximise any opportunities to further develop the range of services provided.

- Responsible for the delivery of key operating measures and Account Profitability, ensuring that operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of contractual Key Performance Indicators.
- Customer facing role as required to listen, understand, and work on operational solutions and potential service enhancements and taking the lead role in the development of the customer's account
- Cost control, Productivity, Added value services, Relationship management, Account planning, Management, and employee development
- To actively work alongside direct and in-direct internal stakeholder/senior management groups to ensure cohesion, the sharing of best business practice and the delivery of projects on time and within budget
- Provide consistent world-class operational performance to defined standards, processes and KPI measurements and support Account Development with client presentations, monthly/ quarterly reviews, and presentation materials.
- Through the management team, ensure compliance with statutory and company policies on Health & Safety, Employment and Environmental issues including regular monitoring to ensure that a high profile of all these key areas is maintained.

- Extensive experience in Operational and project management roles.
- Exceptional and demonstrable record of delivering against targets.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with experience of customer relationship management at a senior level.
- Strategic and analytical thinking capability with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Operational credibility and robust understanding of end-to-end supply chains.
- Efficient warehouse practices and continuous improvement knowledge and experience.
- Experience working closely with Unions and Internal Relationship building.
- A history of working in an Automotive ML environment would be beneficial.
- Management of direct team, dotted line reports and people management and development.
